Lamma Island

This shoot truly holds a special place in my heart. The weather, the couple, the location, everything was perfect. I’ve always had a deep love for Lamma, something about the calming and welcoming nature really spoke to me, and every time I’m there, I automatically go into a calmer more relaxed mode. When chatting with Kat to pick a location, she brought up how Patrick and her went to Lamma for one of their first few dates and has had memorable times there. Knowing that, and with my love for Lamma as a bonus, I immediately suggested that we go with that, and we happily decided on this location! We didn’t have too much planned out, other than getting on the ferry, and somehow making our way to a beach. Everything else just flowed naturally as we hiked around and met friendly people! Kat & Patrick also definitely hold a special place in my heart. Being parents of 2, they definitely are a little more older and mature than clients that I’m used to working with, but what touched me was their love for each other was still so present and so loud. Having their wedding cancelled due to Covid a few years ago, they really wanted a chance to dress up and get their pre wedding photos as they are preparing for another wedding in the future. I was so so honored that I get to witness their eyes light up again as they talk about the wedding they have been dreaming of, and being a part of that process and allowing them to have a taste of what that might feel like was definitely a sense of accomplishment that I’ve never experienced in that level before. Hopefully this experience was as fun, special, and memorable for them as it was for me ❤️
